
District XI VP Columns - Info Submittal
If you would like to see something placed in the AMA District XI magazine column, please use the following format.
Unique and special programs, special-interest, things which standout and are exemplary will be given first priority. Please allow minimally two to three months for something to appear. Priority is given to necessary organizational concerns. If you, your club, your special-interest and/or your community are doing something worthy of sharing with others both regionally and nationally, please observe the following guidelines:
Please write your information in full, an introduction, further description and conclusion or summary.
Please limit your word count between 200 and 300 words.
Include one or two photographs (real photographs are required by the magazine publisher--do not include digital photographs nor scanned photography). Please insure that these photos have association with the body of your text --they need to exemplify what is happening
Please mail this input directly to me: Bruce Nelson at 807 E. Vicksburg, Spokane, Washington 99208.
Do not email this material!--use regular physical mailing). Please send a cover letter explaining what you have to showcase. Include a printed hard copy of your text, additionally send to me your text by floppy computer disk--an IBM-formatted floppy disk with the text in a .txt file!
Additionally, send to me the original photographs by physical mail--this is a requirement by the magazine publisher.
SUBMITTING DIGITAL PICTURES FOR PUBLICATION:
We can take digital pictures now in the monthly District XI column, but they have to be sent on a disk that will not be returned. They have to have a print of the photo accompanying, a print from your printer will do, and there most be accompanying text.
