Finally got around to putting up some pictures of Small Juan under the canopy.

That's me on the left and Ray Smith on the right. We are at the DCA flying field at Ft Ord California. Ray was the pilot on all of the parachute drops made there. Here we are getting Small Juan's parachute packed up for another drop.

Finally got Small Juan all packed up and ready to go. I have the airplane mounted on the field box ready to turn upside down. Then I will strap Small Juan to the bottom of the airplane for the drop.

This is just after Small Juan was released from the aircraft. The altitude of the aircraft was around 300 feet. We were making some low drops to get pictures of the release. This picture and the next three were taken at Fort Ord California. The weather went from very cloudy to bright sunshine.

Small Juan under the canopy. This was really a great day for making parachute drops. There was very little wind and it was right down the runway.

Looks like Small Juan landing in the trees. He actually made it into a clearing just in front of the trees.

We made a couple of drops using the 36" round parachute. For some reason the lines were tangling. Unfortunately we didn't have enought time to try and figure out what was going on.

I have just snatched Small Juan out of the sky. Another great day for parachute drops. the winds were 0 - 5 miles per hour. It isn't visible but I am holding the transmitter in my left hand. This picture was taken at Small Juan's home field in Olympia, Washington.
