This Land-Rover has a documented thirty-one
thousand original miles since new. It was laid up in
storage for probably fifteen years, and consequently
has accrued fewer than 1,000 miles per year in its
entire life. We have "done the four
corners" so that the wheel bearings, hub seals ,
brake shoes and drums have been replaced as needed,
and all other hydraulic cylinders associated with the
brake and clutch have also been replaced. All
hydraulic components are Genuine Girling or Genuine
Land-Rover.
Additionally, all
new seats and door trim panels [with map pockets]
have also been fitted, as well as window channel and
weather-stripping. There are new floor mats, belts
and hoses, exhaust components as required. The tyres
have full tread. The engine in this Land-Rover is as
fine as I have ever heard. All four wheel drive
equipment operates as specified, the steering is
light and responsive, and the suspension is as crisp
as one would expect from a Land-Rover only four to
six years of age. This Land-Rovers price
reflects the fact that it has not necessitated the
vast expenditure of time and material required of
Land-Rovers having accumulated tens of thousands of
miles. As with the majority of British
Northwests machines, this Land-Rover can be
called upon to return years of reliable service. A
