Floating Text Over Page Background

When your visitor scrolls down the page, the text moves in the usual way, but the background graphic appears frozen in place. Try it out on this page and you'll see what I mean. By the way, this effect works only with Internet Explorer version 2.0 or later.
The secret is very simple: add a bgproperties="fixed" statement to the BODY tag on your page as shown in the code box below. Like any good trick, keep the secret to yourself and let everyone else think you're a wizard!

NOTE: You can use a JPG or GIF file for the background graphic. Some ancient browsers won't know how to handle a background JPG file, so for the utmost in compatibility, you may want to stick with a GIF format graphic.
